FAQs

Q: Can you help me if I’m way behind on my books?

A: Absolutely. Whether you’re a little behind, a lot behind, or haven’t opened QuickBooks since the dinosaurs roamed. Look, I don’t judge – you’re in the right place!

Q: Do I have to be using QuickBooks already?

A: Nope! I can help you set up QuickBooks from scratch or clean up a messy account. I can even help you migrate if you’re switching from a different system (or from a shoebox full of receipts — it happens).

Q: What’s the first step if I want to work with you?

A: Just send me an email! We’ll set up a quick chat to talk about what you need, and then I’ll send you a custom proposal with no pressure and no weird vibes.

Q: How often will we communicate?

A: It depends on your package! Some clients get monthly check-ins, some just get cozy email updates. Either way, I’m easy to reach and I don’t ghost.

Q: Do you only work with service-based businesses?

A: Yep! I specialize in service-based businesses because I know them inside and out. That said, if you have a little inventory — like a custom painter who also sells prints, stickers, or original pieces — you’re still my people.

If you run inventory-heavy operations, I’m probably not your girl (but I can recommend someone awesome).

Q: Can you help me if I’m switching bookkeepers?

A: Absolutely. I’ll help you make the switch as smooth as possible — no messy drama or awkwardness needed.

Q: How much do your services cost?

A: It depends on what you need! Monthly packages start at $250/month, and a la carte services like QuickBooks setups and cleanups are available too! (Full pricing is listed on my Services page because I like to keep things transparent.)

Q: Can I customize a package to fit my business?

A: Definitely. Think of my packages as a starting point — if you need to tweak, add, or mix-and-match, I’ll build you a custom plan. Easy peasy.

Q: What if I’m not ready for monthly services yet?

A: That’s totally okay! You can still grab one-time services like a setup, cleanup, or training call. No big commitment needed.

Q: Do you offer payment plans?

A: For larger one-time services (like big cleanups), yes! For monthly packages, payments are billed monthly — no scary lump sums, just manageable bites.

Q: Will I get locked into a long contract?

A: Nope! My monthly packages are month-to-month because I believe you should want to stay — not be stuck.

Q: What if I need to upgrade or downgrade my service later?

A: No problem. Life happens. You can move between packages or services as your business grows or shifts.

Q: What software do you use?

A: I specialize in QuickBooks Online — it’s what I recommend for most service-based businesses. I also use a few other nerdy tools behind the scenes to keep things organized (but don’t worry, you won’t have to touch them unless you want to).

Q: Do you work with businesses outside of Texas?

A: Yes! I work remotely, which means I can help service-based businesses anywhere in the U.S. You bring the chaos, I’ll bring the spreadsheets — no matter the zip code.

Q: Will I have to learn a bunch of new software??

A:  Not unless you want to. If you can send an email and upload a PDF, you’re good. I keep things simple and coach you through anything you need to know.

Q: Can you work with my CPA or tax preparer?

A: Of course, I love those guys! I’ll keep your books clean and tax-ready, and if needed, I’m happy to collaborate with your CPA to make tax time (ugh) less painful for everyone.

Q:  Will I still have access to my QuickBooks if you manage it?

A: Yes! You’ll always have full access. It’s your business, your books — I’m just here to make them accurate and beautiful!

Q: What if I need help understanding my reports?

A: Every time you get reports from me, I’ll include a quick and easy cheat sheet that explains what your numbers actually mean (no accounting degree required).

If you want a deeper dive — like a full walk-through, extra explanations, or help planning next steps — you can always schedule a strategy call with me! I’ll break it all down and help you make a game plan if you want one!
